bex TYRER

Bex has dedicated her life’s work to yoga, women’s health, and social and environmental justice. She has been a full-time yoga teacher at the Yoga Barn since 2009, where she teaches hatha, vinyasa, yin, restorative, and women’s balance yoga classes. Originally from Scotland, she has a love for the wilderness, and with an MPhil graduate degree in Development Studies from Oxford University, she has an insatiable curiosity for exploring life in all its dimensions, including the study of Yogic thought and history.

Her journey with menstrual health, stress, and anxiety led her to birth workshops and training designed to support women's holistic health. Her work is born from lived experience and dedicated research.

With her love for movement and the wilderness, Bex loves to take her work out into the great outdoors. Her fascination with the latest research in yoga as well as her love for exploring life through a mythic lens, culminates in fresh new insights and spins on "Yoga." Bex is able to teach to multiple levels and interests at once! Her work is aimed at waking up the wonder of the human experience and trusting in the great mystery of life. Her courses are deeply beneficial to modern practitioners and teachers.
